Utugi Children’s Home (OVC)
The feeding programme started officially in 1999. The programme caters for the less privileged children i.e. the orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) who found themselves landing in the streets for various reasons. The department is coordinated by Rev Phyllis Kibira. The department empowers children from under privileged families specifically those in the streets for realization and fulfillment of life. The under privileged children are also empowered to face life through provision of holistic education founded on Christian principles.
In line with our objectives the children have realized that they too are human beings through Christian upbringing. The dehumanized have been rehabilitated by re-cultivating humanity in them through guidance and counseling. The programme has also empowered the less fortunate to steer their own destiny with confidence through education and vocational training at Utugi children centre. Their character and morals have been refined by creating conducive environment
