Education day Celebrations
Every year we celebrate Education days in the seven archdeaconries. The climax is done at the diocesan level in the month of May of every year. During this annual event we pray for our families, our education system and the country. We also award the best achievers in both KCPE and KCSE in the sponsored and affiliated schools.
Schools Evangelism ministry
In partnership with the youth department we have a successful school evangelism ministry. Through this ministry we have reached out to the youth on various issues that affect them. We have also brought together the Christian Union patrons and the school chaplains. We are encouraging teachers to train as school chaplains so that they can serve in their schools
Kirinyaga Anglican Secondary Schools Heads Association (KASSHA) and Kirinyaga Anglican primary Schools Association (KAPSHA).
KASSHA and KAPSHA are two associations who were formed in 2015.
KASSHA is an association for the secondary schools while KAPSHA is for primary schools.
The primary objective of the two associations is to bring together the sponsored and affiliate secondary and primary schools so that they can be able to interact with the sponsor in a more inclusive way. The associations are managed through a secretariat which is composed of seven members, one from every archdeaconry in the diocese.
Under the education act 2013 the sponsor has the capacity to nominate 3 persons in the school boards in both primary and secondary schools. The sponsor has also powers to propose the person who becomes the chairperson. However such person must have a university degree (secondary) and a diploma (primary)
